this is my second time on a Carnival but it has been a good while. Was not please overall. Could tell that main office is looking for more $ and forgot the quality, Extremely disappointed. After talking with some of the other passengers, was not alone.

the food in the restaurant and service were excellent. The ala carte places were also very good. Now we come to the buffet line. Very poor quality. Biscuits, sausage gravy, scrambled eggs, fruit, no orange juice(orange cocktail only), serve mashed potatoes with no gravy available, bagels on I end cream cheese on the other end, spoons on 1 end and oatmeal on the other end, fried eggs not readily available or seen but once, Fruit pies in restaurant very poor quality(too much gel) Suggest fruit pie served in ramekin with top crust so at least some juice Best of all was the ice cream available 24
Onboard Activities

not enough group things to do. Maybe line dancing, karaoke, board games, card playing Movies on big screen very poor choice. Appreciated the closed caption but didn't want to watch the choices.
Entertainment

only had shows twice, thought it would be more but shows were decent. Frankie, the cruise director talks way too fast for us people who can't hear too well. Since I don't hear very well, more caption would be appreciated. This is 2017

Casino should be non-smoking. In fact, couldn't even go to the dream bar because of the smoke from casino. Also trying to get to dining room it was always suggested by your employees to go to deck 5, walk through casino to get there. WRONG! My stateroom was on 7 so we had to go to 9, walk through 9 and then take elevator down to 4 to get to the dining room. At least no smoke

I have cruised on carnival enough to make it to VIFP status, and have thoroughly enjoyed all but my last cruise, on the conquest - Dec 2016. both boarding and disembarkation procedures were horrible. completely disorganized, you would have thought it was their first time trying something new. when you think back to past cruises, even the worst of them, there is always something good that comes to mind. I'm sure some of it was enjoyable, but I am having a hard time trying to remember with this one.
Which ship were you on? I have cruised 20 times, 18 on Carnival and never had issues. My friends, family and I love them in comparison to the others we've sailed on.
