Southern Caribbean in January

Sail Date: January 01, 2015

Reviewed: 1 year ago

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Suite

Valor is older but generally clean and well maintained.

Pros: Six ports and only one sea day

Cons: Poverty on the islands\, food was mediocre\, entertainment was bad

Recommends Carnival Valor? Yes!

Children's Programs
Musician at pool at happy hour was terrible.
Service and Staff
Staff were fine\, not great. Rarely saw our steward.
Cabin / Stateroom
Cabin 7329 overall okay\, noise from elevators nearby\, nobody probably uses the whirlpool tubs.
Food and Dining
Food was okay\, not great. Had two dinners at Scarlett's for an extra fee. It was good\, not great\, but nice to get away from the routine dinners.
Ship Quality
Layout was confusing. Take a look at the schematic that shows the large galley that breaks up the 3-4 levels in the center of the ship.
