Carnival has stepped up its game
Carnival Valor Cruise Review to Caribbean - Southern
Ship: Carnival Valor
Cabin Type: Balcony
Traveled As: Singles/Friends
Reviewed: 3 years ago
The dining options for breakfast & dinner in the main dining room were varied & delicious; truly something for everyone. The Lido buffet was very ordinary & redundant so be sure to stick to the dining room.
The amenities in the balcony cabins are slim to none. Although the Carnival agent & website claim that room amenities are included (i.e.\, razer\, body lotion\, shower cap\, shampoo/conditioner\, shower gel\, etc)\, that is not the case. Only shampoo was provided. While this may be part of their cutbacks\, it should have been transparent so passengers could pack accordingly.
It seemed like every time we turned around we hit a designated smoking section. There were too many of them & often felt like it was a smoker's cruise. Regretfully\, many (smoking) passengers didn't abide by designated smoking areas and lit up when ever they felt like it. You couldn't escape it.
