Overall\, we had an excellent time. This was our first cruise and we really enjoyed it! It was nice that there was only one full day on the boat. However\, that one day there were so many great activities that day! The ports were great\, too. The entertainment was enjoyable and the ship itself was clean and well maintained. The staff learned our names within the first day and greeted us using them the whole week\, so that was awesome. Our only two things that weren't so great was the inconsistent temperature on the ship. Our room was really muggy\, even with our thermostat turned all the way to cold. I also recommend packing a few light sweaters and/or long sleeved shirts because downstairs can be very chilly with the AC.The second thing that wasn't so great is that we felt that we were misled about a few excursions we booked through the ship. One said we would see turtles and we definitely didn't. Another was a beach getaway\, which was really just a bus to a dirty beach. Overall\, though\, we really enjoyed our first cruise!

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
We ate in the formal dining room for dinner each night and the food was surprisingly very good. Breakfast on the Lido Deck was just okay. The eggs were pretty gross. Our favorite breakfast was the at sea brunch!

Entertainment

5 out of 5
We enjoyed the comedians\, Battle of the Sexes\, Marriage game\, Hairy Chest contest\, and all the nighttime performances

Service and Staff

Awesome! Everyone was so nice and friendly the entire week!

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
I thought everything was easily accessible. The only thing would be trying to get an elevator took a long time at times.

Cabin / Stateroom

We loved our room. It had a ton of storage\, which was great for 2 girls who overpack! The only downside was the temperature being really muggy.

Pros: Entertainment\, Ports\, Friendly staff\, Activities

Cons: Temperature on the ship\, some excurisons

Recommends Carnival Valor? Yes!
