Review summary
Our Southern Caribbean Cruise was delightful. It had a few cons but mostly Pros.. Embarkation was quick and the agents were friendly and professional. The embarkation photo backdrop could have been a little more interesting ~ there fore we do not have a photo of our starting point. Our outside cabin was pleasant and to my surprise in an ideal location ~ 2 239 (forward). It put us within a short walk or elevator ride to most of the places we wanted to go on the ship. Our cabin steward (sorry I don't remember his name) was friendly and accommodating. Unfortunately not all the officers were as cordial. The food was a little boring ~ probably because we have done three Carnival Cruises in the past 18 months. The Chocolate Warm Melting cake was still divine. The VIFP party was awesome. We really felt appreciated with their serving of cocktails and appetizers. I was a little disappointed in the Christmas decorations. We took a cruise during this time of year a number of years ago and the ship was beautiful ~ guess the decorations fell to budget cuts. All in all I would still recommend this cruise. The ports were enjoyable and fun.

Ship tip
Pack layers of clothing. There were times it was warm, then it was chilly (most of the time the public areas were icy). They play lots of trivia games so brush up.
