Review summary

OK, good to get away, and a good value for the money.  Food was OK, but not outstanding.  Entertainment not quite as superb as on other cruise lines.  Vessel was clean and well-cared for.  I appreciated that the water/waitresses didn't hound us mercilessly to buy drinks, as they have on some other cruises.  Had a balcony room, that was worth the extra cost.  Formal dining room was good, but the every-evening dancing and singing by the waiters in the formal dining room was unnecessary and cheesy.

Ship tip

Extra cost for balcony was worth it. Pizza at the 24-hour pizza bar was thin. I missed being able to sit outside (e.g. on the aft decks) while eating at the buffet restaurant.

Despite cruise line's caution, we DID rent a motorbike to explore the island, and loved it. (Rec. only do this if you have experience and license for motorcycle.)
