What a disappointment!

Sail Date: October 07, 2012

Reviewed: 4 years ago

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Balcony

The ship was clean but outdated. The pools were very small considering there were over 3000 guests. The Promenade did not have many shops or choices. There were few options for eating facilities throughout the day and night, the smoking areas were in places in shich you had to pass through them to get across the ship, the food in the dining room at night was ggod but limited. The buffet was limited with a breakfast not being very tasty or hot. The elevators were plentiful and easy to access. Information was sporadic that was shared with guests, especially the change in time at the different ports.

Pros: The only thing was positive was meals in the dining room only and our steward for our room.

Cons: The many smoking aeas\, sutting down the food buffets in the middle of theafternoon\, lack entertainment\, the disorganization of debarking and boarding at ports.

Recommends Carnival Valor? No.

We had a balcony room with plenty of storage and it was clean.
Service and Staff
I have never been ona cruise in which there was no live musica entertainment on the pool deck. It was like one big boom box out there all the time.
