St marteen and St Thomas were great ports, also San Juan, not so much for Grand Turk, there is nothing there, except the beach. If you are going to Grand Turk, do not book a excursion before you go there, and if you do, wait to be there and take a taxi that will charge you 20.00 per person for a 7 miles excursion. Personally i think is a waste of money, better stay at the beach and eat good jerk chicken. San Juan was a good port also, also do not book a excursion before you go there if you want just to see around, everything in Old San Juan is in a walking distance, we tood a small tour that charge 10.00 per person, buses waiting at the end of the pier... you can see around for 1 hr. We went to El Morro, San Cristobal forts and walked around Old San Juan, was good. Avoid the expensive restaurants, there are some that charge 16.00 just for a regular chicken breast. We paid 7.99 for chicken, mofongo and plantains. Was a good price. St Marteen is a nice port, try to explore the island in a jeep or book a excursion that take you to both sides, dutch and french side. We paid 100.00 for two people. If you are going to do shopping this is the place, if you wait for St Thomas to go shopping, everything is more expensive there. In St Thomas do not miss Gladys Cafe or Sheryls cafe, Gladys is located in the downtown area, Sheryls located outside the pier, walking distance from the port. Another thing, do not buy anything on the ship .. you will discover that the items are overpriced, i did bought a watch that cost me 139.00 and outside the ship was 99.00

Pros: The ports

Cons: Prices in the Ship

Recommends Carnival Valor? Yes!

Ship Quality
Was clean, decoration was rare, maybe for people that love Gods from the ancient Greece, for me look like too old, maybe older people will appreciate this more, but we are still young and we were expecting something more modern.
Food and Dining
Wife get sick alot and most of the time she cannot even eat her dinner. It was ok, lobster was amazing, the steaks are good too. But everything else was just regular food.
Cabin / Stateroom
The room was good, basically many ships have the same size of stareroom, so is ok. the room service was amazing and never ever have to clean anything myself, is like i have someone picking everything for me all the time, kudos to those people... they definitly make my cruise.
Service and Staff
The staff was good, except for the people that sell the drinks, gosh those people really push you to buy them. I was asked in 6 hrs no less than 15 times if i want a drink. I guess is their job but is anoying too. Emily from the Comedy room... hey, she is amazing. Also Felipe the cruise director, for sure he has the energy and he is the right person for that job. Everytime he is on stage the people just enjoy everything....
Entertainment
The shows, well... if the passengers sing better than the onboard singers...... lol.. there is a problem there... they relly on two singers for all the shows, the girl if she use low voice she maybe will be better but for me was like she was screaming most of the time, the male voice was ok, i think he think he is too good to be there, and he is not.. lol. if you go you will see what im talking about. The comedy show was ok, there was one cuban comedian that was horrible, this guy make fun of passengers, he call this comedy, was bad. There is another one mike thoug i think is his name, was good. In the Ivanhoe theater the best show was the last one, carnival legends, it was the one where the passengers were the singers.
