Very relaxing

Sail Date: April 01, 2012

Reviewed: 5 years ago

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Balcony

We missed the first port due to high winds, but the crew came up with alternative things to do with the extra sea day. We also had a few extra hours in San Juan which was nice.

Pros: Having a balcony was great

Cons: Difficult to get a lounge chair and we missed one port

Recommends Carnival Valor? Yes!

Ship Quality
The internet cafe was practically hidden, but no issues once there. All areas are kept very clean.
Not as many shows or night activities as could have been. Some locations were even closed at night.
Food and Dining
Only one sit down restaurant, but the food was amazing. The main dining rooms served a variety of excellent meals. The Grill and Burrito bar were nice options for lunch. The buffet lines were extremely long and took a long time.
Cabin / Stateroom
We had an aft balcony which was fabulous since we were protected from the strong winds we encountered day 2 & 3. Position of the TV was odd and no place to sit except on the bed, unlike other cruises we've been on.
Service and Staff
Everyone on the ship was pleseant and willing to help if needed.
