This was our first Carnival cruise. We were under the impression that carnival was just a party cruise for the young. This was not the case. Although it was early February, most schools were still in session and the children we came into contact were well behaved and appeared to know their limits. The food was... well what can I say, I tried to save some for the next passengers arriving. Weight watchers here we come. From the cabins on the 1st deck to the mini-golf on deck 11, the ship was very well maintained. The service was very good. The theater was cold all week. Don't be afraid to bring some long sleeves and a jacket. Only complaint is make the theater a little warmer and make no smoking areas around the food eating areas. I would cruise again with Carnival.

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
If you like to see the evening shows select the early dining option. (Unless you are a super night owl. keep in mind that some shore excursions depart first thing in the AM) The late dining creates havoc seeing many onboard events including theater performances.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
A little confusing accessing both sides of the ship. Many cruise ships have this problem. Probably because of elevators in main deck area and location of dining rooms to the food service area.

Cabin / Stateroom

Pros: Great dining experience. Excellant entertainment from start to finish.

Cons: Smoking. Smokers would light up close to dining areas. Temperature in theater always cold.

Recommends Carnival Valor? Yes!
