Nice cruise

Nice cruise, good ports of call with lots of time spent in port.

Pros: Cruise directors staff, Matt and Graham were great. lots of trivia. Our waiters Marcello and Ambrosio were some of the best we've ever seen. The check in and off was very smooth. I would recommend the luggage transfer option. Did not have to deal with luggage at the airport.

Cons: The desserts were tasteless and there was only 1 choice a day for diabetics. Also no smoked salmon in the Lido breakfast.

Recommends Carnival Valor? Yes!

Ship Quality
We could have used a better road map, got lost a lot and this was not our first cruise.
Food and Dining
The meals were good, presented well and steaks /meat were always cooked to specification and were very tender. However the desserts left a lot to be desired. Tasteless and bland. Also, only 1 choice for sugar free desserts. Have to knock them down for that.
Cabin / Stateroom
Service and Staff
Loved our waiter and his assistant, Marcelo and Ambrosio. Best ever, funny and helpful.
Staff was always ready to help when asked.
Matt and Graham were great. Did not have a lot of activities with anyone else. Never saw the cruise directer, except at the shows.
