Almost, but Not Quite!

Sail Date: December 01, 2011

Reviewed: 4 years ago

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Balcony

The ship itself is great, but my wife has terrible alergy to sulfer and broke out in hives the third night in. Could be sulfer in the water? Be advised if you have a similar alergy.
Lincoln dining room cannot be accessed easily. You must change floors and walk across most of the ship; then change floors again. Bad Design!

Pros: Streamlined boarding and leaving process. Much better tipping process.

Cons: Shows! None at all on 2 nights. VERY RISQUE near nudity on 2 nights, w/ no prior notice

Recommends Carnival Valor? No.

Entertainment
VERY resque (near nudity) show girls. Should have advised passengers in advance. Two nights there were no shows at all. We have never encountered this before.
Ship Quality
Food and Dining
Lincoln Dining Room not easily accessable. From front of ship you must change floors, walk the length of ship to different elevator, and change floors again to enter. Avoid Lincoln Dining room unless your stateroom is at the aft end of ship.
SULFER ALERGY? Avoid drinking the water! My wife broke out in hives third day out.
Cabin / Stateroom
Service and Staff
Overall very friendly and attentive.Cabin steward exceptional
