The cleanliness and promptness of room service was extraordinary.

Food and Dining

1 out of 5
The dining room service was below average. Upon being seated we had to wait awhile to be served coffee (10 minutes on two occassions), then the length of time between drinks and meals were unsatisfactory. On 6 of the 7 nights in the dining room, our meal was served before the kids meals. It was an estimated wait of 5 to 10 minutes after our main course that the childrens meals were served. The children's meals should have come out first. The pasta, the first two days was not cooked. Breakfast, was generally the best meal of the day, with one flaw, muffins were not available, yet they were on the daily menu. And the dining room waiter said everyday, "enjoy your dinner", though it was breakfast time. I think it was the language barrier. LOL. In the other eating areas, the guest were generally rude to the pizza and buffet staff. I commend them for having the ability to deal with the most unruly group of guest.

Entertainment

The abundance of activities were phenomenal. Overall, it is alot to do for people of all ages. It is a great recommendation for anyone

Children's Programs

It is very kids friendly. Camp Carnival seemed to be a great program monitored by experienced professionals. I didn't not have my grandson attend because he was under 2 years of age.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The staff was marvelous. Except for the one guy serving pizza. He walked away from the counter because the customers were really rude and unruly. His colleague took over, with frustration, but he managed to serve the unsatisfied customers. Overall, the staff was friendly.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Very nicely set. They cleaning crew stayed on top of the sanitation of the ship. I give them an A+++ for that. However, one flaw on the decor. One picture of George Foreman had his first name misspelled; Goerge. Major blooper. Accessiblity was extremely easy.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
We had a balcony stateroom. For a seven day cruise, there was more than enough closet and drawer space with a vanity. Nice size, not cramped. The housekeeping staff was given a very "generous" tip for keeping our room extremely clean each time we stepped out of our room. Fresh towels, linens, and vacuuming. Loved it!

The island, beach and pool was simply marvelous. This is a must do. It is a remote, beautiful atmosphere.
Don't Miss: The pool at Margaritaville is a must.

The tour of Old San Juan was beautiful. The cobblestone streets, the cemetary and castle as well as the old town shopping was a must. Shopping and food was yummy. Flan is my favorite dessert.
Don't Miss: Breathtaking view of the Old San Juan Castle...

Did go. Because of Hurricane Irene, the ship diverted to Nassau, Bahamas. Phenomenal...
Don't Miss: Horse carriage tour of the city and Paradise Island.

Loved this island. Breathtaking views from the tram on top of the mountain. The open air vendors were extremely nice, and not aggressive. They didn't make you feel obligated to purchase anything, yet they were so pleasant and showed gratitude. They towns people were extremely nice. This is a must see and do...
Don't Miss: The tram up the mountain. Breathtaking.

Pros: All of the island stops, Nassau, St. Thomas, Puerto Rico, Grand Turk

Cons: The dining room service

Recommends Carnival Valor? Yes!
