Great time

Sail Date: April 03, 2011

Reviewed: 5 years ago

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Suite

This was our first cruise and we had a great time. The service was generally exceptional (with the exception of a few of the food servers on Lido). There was always something to do, and the ship was very nice.

Pros: Ports, suite, casino

Cons: Drinks were overpriced, food was just okay

Service and Staff
Food and Dining
Food was okay. There wasn't much variety in the menu, and the dining room food was decent. Service was a bit slow in the dining room. The upper level of the Washinton dining room is very rocky as its right above the turbines.
Cabin / Stateroom
We stayed in a suite on Empress. It was very clean and the stateroom steward was phenomenal. The deck was very large.
Cozumel, Mexico
The beach was beautiful, but the local merchants were way too pushy in their sales. It got to the point of offensive. The beach buggy excursion is pretty sketchy as its mostly highway travel and the buggys do not appear to be regularly serviced.
Don't Miss: Punta Sur
Belize City, Belize
Don't Miss: Altun Ha
George Town, Grand Cayman
A very average place to hang out. Stingray city was cool, but other than that this was an unremarkable port.
Coxen Hole, Roatan, Bay Islands, Honduras
Out of this world.
Don't Miss: Tabyana Beach
