Overall, this was a great cruise. I was able to relax at the "adults only" pool (although a few people snuck their kids there and no Carnival staff asked them to leave..a little disappointing) and read books in peace. We had an issue with a noise in our stateroom. The staff was quick to fix it, apologize, follow up, and offer a discount on our next cruise. As a nonsmoker, my only other big disappointment was the amount of cigarette smoke on the ship. While previous cruises allowed smoking only in the casino, this one allowed smoking in and around the casino, in at least 4 bars/lounges, and on the top deck. Some people smoked by the pool without being asked to stop.

Pros: Food, Entertainment

Cons: Smokers throughout the ship, poor service in bar and on Lido

Recommends Carnival Valor? Yes!
