The most relaxing vacation ever!!

Sail Date: May 04, 2008

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Oceanview

One of best one week cruises ever. There was no long line to get on board and it only took minutes to disembark in Miami. Our room was spacious and if the cruise had been two weeks long, we would have had plenty of storage.
The crew was very courteous and helpful. Our room was kept immaculate and we never heard our neighbors.
This was our second time on the Valor and there have been improvements since our last cruise on her. There is now an outdoor theater, just like the newer Carnival ships. It is so much fun to sit on deck and watch a movie or music videos.

Pros: The accomodations

Cons: Room service menu

Recommends Carnival Valor? Yes!

Philipsburg, St. Maarten
Once again, more great shopping!!! If you forgot something in St Thomas, get it in St Maarten. There are plenty of beaches on the Dutch side and on the French side.
Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas
Lot of wonderful shopping. If it is your first visit to the port, take a tour first and shop later. There is good snorkeling. Also, there is an excursion available to St John island. So many things to do, there is no way to see everything in just one day.
Nassau, Bahamas
Nassau is always a great port to visit. If you have a chance to have lunch in port, go to the Iguana bar and grill. It is upstairs and has two balconies that overlook the main street. I know the ship says "don't rent scooters", but we have had a great time by renting a scooter and finding a spot on the beach by the road and just having a picnic. I would save my shopping for St Thomas or St Maarten.
