great cruise

Great itinerary, but stays in port were too short. Staff worked non-stop. I watched the pizzeria server work non-stop with a continuous line for several hours without any break whatsoever (I hope this is not typical and Carnival does provide regular breaks/relief). Food at Rosie's was good, but often just lukewarm. At breakfast, eggs were runny, oatmeal watery, and orange juice from the machine was watered down. Lunch and dinner at Rosie's were good, but not spectacular. Deli and fish and chips restaurants were great. Sometimes staff was too rushed -- busing tables before you were done. Entire staff appears to be overworked and under alot of pressure. Food at formal dining was very good, but not as great as past experience with Carnival. Atmosphere in dining room was very chaotic. It appeared that entire wait staff was overwhelmed, which made the experience less than relaxing.

Pros: ports of call

Cons: overworked staff

Recommends Carnival Valor? Yes!
