My husband and I loved it

Sail Date: March 19, 2006

Reviewed: 6 years ago

Traveled As: Large Group

Room Type: Oceanview

The ship was beautiful, and very comfortable. Carnival's staterooms are famous for their size, and ours was very roomy and nice. The service in our stateroom and in the restaurant were outstanding. All the staff were very friendly and welcoming and helpful. The music at the evening shows in the theater was too loud. I had to leave one night because it was hurting my ears.

Pros: stateroom, decor, service, food

Cons: constantly selling things

Costa Maya (Mahahual), Mexico
We shopped here, too. The cultural dancing show was wonderful: colorful, entertaining, and free!
Don't Miss: shopping
Belize City, Belize
We went shopping, and bought a few souvenirs for friends and family. It was very nice and convenient. Everything was right there. We had lunch at the Wet Lizard, a nice place with colorful decor and a good view. The food was good, too.

George Town, Grand Cayman
The city seemed very pleasant and clean. I would have liked more time there. It would be great if we could visit a port for two days instead of just a few hours. We went to the Butterfly Farm, which was extremely informative and interesting. A beach trip was included in this trip, but we didn't have much time at the beach.

We went on the Semi-submarine, and enjoyed it very much. Didn't like the shopping as well. There were no recommended shops there, so we didn't want to buy anything.
