An excellent cruise on the Valor!

Sail Date: November 25, 2007

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Suite

Overall, the cruise met my expectations and exceeded in some areas. We chose this cruise based on the itinerary. The ship was very nice and clean and the staff were very accomodating.

Pros: The ship's cleanliness and service, although staff was not overly friendly, the service was good.

Cons: I really enjoy the pool area. It was disappointing that children were allowed in the whirl pools. Because the two main pools were at least 4 ft. deep, the children were using the whirlpools as the kiddie pool. There were always up to 10 kids in each whirl pool. Not very romantic.

Recommends Carnival Valor? Yes!

Service and Staff
Service was excellent. The staff were friendly but not overly friendly.
Ship Quality
Food and Dining
I was not that impressed with the Restaurant on board. It was $30.00 extra pp and the food was similar to eating in the dining room.

On the positive side, I will say that the service was impeccable and the presentation of the food excellent.
Cabin / Stateroom
We had a suite. It was a little smaller than other cruise lines but very nice and comfortable.
Coxen Hole, Roatan, Bay Islands, Honduras
We did a Kayak/Snorkel adventure. This was nice. The bus ride was about 40 min. to our destination so we were able to see some of the Island. This is definitely an Island in the "Ruff."
Cozumel, Mexico
We like Cozumel the best due to our shore excursion. We had a chance to swim with the dolphins. This is amazing.
Don't Miss: Swim with the Dolphins
Belize City, Belize
We did a little shopping in Belize. All the Islands are similar, beach, shops etc. unless you do some type of shore excursion.

George Town, Grand Cayman
We took a taxi to a local beach and did some water sports. We did not get to see much of the Island.
