An okay cruise

Room Type: Oceanview

The Valor is overall a decent ship but not spectacular. As with most cruises they seem to have a goal of seperating you from your money and being asked repeatedly to buy a drink became very annoying. Howevere, the staff was helpfukl, professional and friendly. The midnight buffets while beautiful left a lot to be desired and the sitdown dinners were awesome. Otherthan that the overall quality of the food was fair. I woudl return to this ship again but only because the staff were great!

Pros: Nightly dinner was awesome. The service staff was delightful.

Cons: There was little to do without spending money when it rained.

A great modern port. Howvere it is very pricey. No delas at all to be found here whatsoever. SAtingray City and snorkeling are delightful!
Don't Miss: Snorkeling, stingray city.
Costa Maya (Mahahual), Mexico
We saved all our shopping for this port. Stores within the buildings will not bargain with you but everyone at the stalls expects it. We got some great stuff at a fair price.
Don't Miss: Bargaining with the local vendors.
Coxen Hole, Roatan, Bay Islands, Honduras
One of the most beautiful yet disturbingly poverty ridden ports I have ever seen. A few ramshackle souvenier shops have been set up but the streets are of poor quality and stray dogs and children follow you everywhere. I hear if you are a diver it is the place to go. If you arent it is the place to avoid.
Don't Miss: Dont miss the boat. You dont want to get stuck here!

We lucked out and booked a tour through a place called Smugglers Run Plantatuion to go horseback riding. Our cavetubing was cancelled and I saw a ladt with a sign. It was fabuolous. They toof us to their ranch (Just 4 of us!) gave us a great ride for a few hours and fed us a wonderful sitdown lunch with fresh fruits, rice chicken etc etc. They made us feel very much at home. Dont miss out obn this. They dont run through the cruise lines either. You can find them online.
