Carnival Valor

7 Night Eastern Caribbean (Miami Roundtrip)

Sail Date: September 10, 2006

Ship: Carnival Valor

Cabin Type: Oceanview

Traveled As: Couple

Reviewed: 8 years ago

Review Summary

Ship was well laid out except for the confusion you will encounter getting from one end of the ship to the other on the floor where the dining rooms are. You must go up or down a deck or two to get to the end of the ship. There is no corridor that goes around the dining room. There are plenty of tables for two on the ship & the two dining rooms keep the size of each room at a decent size (not too big).

Ship Experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Dining room food was excellent & the fried oysters & fish & chips on the 10th deck were the best.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
We had three late night comedians & they were all excellent. The band that played on the Lido Deck during the day was fabulous. I believe they were called Total Eclipse.

Service and Staff

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
ship is big & the decor is just a bit too much of "Rosey the riveter". Otherwise it was tolerable.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
We were upgraded to an outside with an ocean view with sofa by choosing the guarantee rate & paying the inside rate.
