Nice cruise not good not bad

Sail Date: August 16, 2009

Room Type: Balcony

Nice ship, service in the Washington Late seating was very good, room stewards were very nice, had to call for a/c servicing 3 times. Children misbehaving was an issue, there was one table of children with only one adult and they really spoiled it for thoes arrould them by throwing food item at each other, spitting sodas, running around in the formal dining rooms when we mentioned to the Maitre'd nothing was done. Also quite time was not enforced children running and playing in the halls at midnight and later.

Pros: Chose this ship for the ports of call, advanced scuba diving excursions were very good

Cons: food needs to be improved and the rules for children need to be enforced

Recommends Carnival Valor? No.

Food and Dining
Very disappointed in the quality of the food.
Ship Quality
Ship was nice, restrooms for some of the public area were a disgrace
Cabin / Stateroom
we were a party of three, 2 mid twenties, cousins and aunt mid fifties enought room for storage even with dive gear, Balcony Stateroom was a definite advantage nicely appointed and comfortable.
Service and Staff
resutrant wait staff were excellent, disappointed in the Maite'd, some of the support staff for our server were weak.
George Town, Grand Cayman
scuba was great at all ports, the snuba was good but not outstanding
Cozumel, Mexico
Scuba was great and the Temple of Tulum was very good
Coxen Hole, Roatan, Bay Islands, Honduras
Scuba again was great, the mini-sub tour was very interesting
Belize City, Belize
Scuba was great but was not impressed with this port, if really need to have a planned ships activity for this port
