Reviewed: 8 years ago

Traveled As: Family (older children)

Room Type: Inside

Our first Carnival ship,we had sailed 8 previous times w/other cruise lines,We were really impressed with everything on this ship, from cleanliness to dining room food/ ship entertainment and kids programs, something for everybody!Carnival shows that they aim to please,If you leave this ship unhappy then you are a genuine CRAB!

Pros: everything on the ship was top notch, great ports of call, great staff

Cons: disembarkation(could have been more organized)

Recommends Carnival Valor? Yes!

Ship Quality
There wer 3400 passengers on this ship, you would never know it,everything was easily accessable, all public areas constantly being cleaned, spared no expense on decor, really liked adults only area
Food and Dining
wide variety on buffet line, changes daily, all great, dining room very nice, food and variety excellant,a pleasure to dine in
Cabin / Stateroom
for having 4 people in room the cabin was spacious compared to other ships, beds made and room cleaned 3X a day, very comfortable
Service and Staff
everyone on this ship friendly and professional, especially our cabin steward and dining room waiters, couldn't have ben nicer
show room entertainment very good, comedians, dancers, singers very good, piano bar and casino lounge act left a little to be desired, enough of everything else to make up for it,good Asian rock band, every night was different so you could catch what you like
Children's Programs
Our 15 year old enjoyed the Club H20,met many new friends on the ship
Cozumel, Mexico
Big shopping port, lots of good restaurants, friendly Mexicans hoping to sell handmade goods(onynx, carved wood, vanilla, cuban cigars,t-shirts,ect...)
Don't Miss: easy access to local beaches
Coxen Hole, Roatan, Bay Islands, Honduras
An up and coming tourist destination, tropical paradise,I think this island has much potential,a guided tour of the island is the way to go
Don't Miss: iguana farm and snorkling
Belize City, Belize
Nice port, not quite commercialized yet,we were tendered in there, took a tour not enough time to see any other stops
Don't Miss: Ancient Mayan ruins, many to choose from,we went to Lamanai
George Town, Grand Cayman
lots of places to shop, had to be tendered in,very nice island
Don't Miss: snorkling and stingray tour
