We were impressed and truly enjoyed our time on the Carnival Valor. What a wonderful ship. We've enjoyed the water slide, the gym and their state of the art equipments. We enjoyed watching a movie on the big screen underneath the stars. We enjoyed the volleyball tournament. We enjoyed the games and competitions. We enjoy "winning" a Carnival trophy or a "ship on a stick" as they call it. We love having something to do every moment and having an itinerary to follow. You could be as active as you want to be or you can relax as much as you want. It was one of the most wonderful vacation we've had.

Food and Dining

We love eating dinners in the dining room every night as a family. That was our time to sit and talk about our day's events. The staff took such good care of us and did not hesitate as we asked for another starter or another dessert. The food was wonderful and hence why we asked for another starter, dessert, and even main course meal.

The comedians were entertaining. We especially enjoyed the ventriloquist. He was memorable. The Valor dancers were great. The Carnival Legend show was fun to watch!

Children's Programs

My 12 year old son, who we had to coerce to even go and check out Circle C (teen program), wanted to be back on the ship by 4:00 so he would not miss any activities with Circle C. After dinner, he would be off to circle C for the evening activities and we would not see him until 11 or 12 midnight. He also met some nice friends during this week.

Service and Staff

The cabin steward were amazing. They were so efficient in maintaining our cabins neat and clean. I had fresh clean towels every time i showered and that could be couple of times a day or more. The cabin stewards were always courteous and friendly as i pass them in the hall or exit my room.

Ship Quality

I love being on this big mega ship. It allows for more activities. The staff does an incredible job keeping the ship clean.

Cabin / Stateroom

The stateroom was small as compared to another cruise line that we've cruised in the past, BUT the bed, sheets, pillows were so comfortable and so inviting that we slept well. Our state room was on the Upper deck (6th floor) which is right over the stage/ theater. The music can be loud when you are in the room. Luckily we were out and about every night until 12 so it was not a big issue.

It was very expensive just to try to arrange for transportation to a beach. The driver promised to take us to a great beach (the "best beach" on Roatan), but when we got there, they wanted to charge us an additional cost per person to "get in" and use the beach. We decline as there were 9 of us and we already paid enough just for the transportation. We asked that we be brought to another beach. When we finally arrived, the beach was nice. It was crowded but nice. Roatan is beautiful and the water was so blue and so inviting.

There was not as much to do as we were hoping. Apparently the last hurricane took away a lot of the beaches. We ended up doing a snorkeling trip. I was not impressed. The boat took us out to reefs that were VERY close to shore. We could have been transported by land to these snorkel spots that were just off the shores of popular resort properties. The spots where the water was warm, there were jellyfish in the water. We did see some beautiful fishes.

This was our favorite. We enjoyed the stingray tour and Turtle farm. This is a must do. We would like to return to this port and stay longer.

This was our second favorite port. We went cave tubing. It was fun and it is a must do. We would like to return to this port and stay longer.

Pros: The sit down dinners every night with our family/friends.

Cons: Not enough days at sea to enjoy the activities and amenities on the ship
