All in all a pretty good cruise!

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Inside

This is my 4th cruise three of which have been on Carnival. For the money, Carnival does a great job. The food is good, but not blow your mind great. The booze is reasonably priced if you don't drink wine. And and after you get over the fact that they will weasel cash out of you at every chance, it's a fun time. On this cruise, we happened to be on the 6th level in the rear of the ship. If you enjoy your sleep, I wouldn't get a room in the back of this ship regardless of the deck level! The engine moaned, groaned and vibrated all night long. It was awful. We met folks who had rooms toward the front of the ship and they had no problems.

Pros: The spacious room (we got an economical inside cabin on the 6th level)

Cons: Because we were in the rear of the ship, you can feel the boat engine vibrate in the room all night long!

Recommends Carnival Valor? Yes!

Food and Dining
The buffets were very good. The sit down dinner wasn't worth the amount of time it took to complete (like 2 hours with all 4 courses)
Ship Quality
This is a newer ship that is laid out very nicley.
Cabin / Stateroom
We always get the least expensive room cause we like to have fun at the ports and Carnival has the most spacious rooms (for a cruise ship) for the money!
Service and Staff
All staff on all cruises are always very nice!
Entertainment
Lots to do!
Nassau, Bahamas
If you don't like to shop, stay on the boat!
Don't Miss: Atlattis maybe?
Philipsburg, St. Maarten
Lots of shopping (as usual) and some cool places to chill with a beverage and a beach chair.
Don't Miss: none
Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas
Wow! This is an awesome place!
Don't Miss: Take the $25 "taxi tour". it's the best $25 I've ever spent on a cruise!
