The ship was huge and very clean. The staff was kind and the photographic staff are top notch. We loved our little interior cabin and found it perfect for us. The shows were great and we loved the comedy acts! The people that we were chosen to dine with were a great fit... we were similiar in age and from a variety of backgrounds ~ we really enjoyed going to dinner (not to mention the dining room food was incredible. ) The folks at the excursion desk are very helpful too. I would have liked to have seen better areas for shopping. There really isn't a good area to pick up a swimsuit or dressier clothing. There is a place for really casual t-shirts & shorts, kids gifts etc. ...so it's really not a big loss ~ it just would've been convenient. I did find great deals on makeup and perfume :) . ~ By the way, we actually sailed in November 2006 ~ not Sept. 07... this site wouldn't accept our correct cruising date for this posting ~ sorry about any confusion there.

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
The buffet food is just okay (which is the only reason I didn't give the 6 smiley faces) ~ but let's face it, it's a buffet. The dining room meals are excellent. We loved the burgers and fries at lunch! Everything was so convenient, clean and accessible ~ it truly could not have been easier.

Entertainment

So much to see and do on the ship ~ you'll never get bored. I wish I had ventured to the gym/spa sooner ... not to work out of course... just to relax in the steam room and hot tub :) ! The comedy shows were a favorite for us and the singers were so gifted. There is lots of fun to be had on this ship if you so choose.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
These folks are great. It is so true that when you smile the world smiles with you. This staff is from all over the world and they have stories to share ~ all you have to do is show a genuine interest in them as people. We loved how they were so passionate about their homes and families & we really felt like we became friends with many of the crew. Everyone is incredibly trained, efficient and ready to help out. We did witness a few cruisers -with very poor manners & extremely bad attitudes-complaining about whatever (and nothing of value)... the crew handled those cruisers with total grace and kindness. They have quite a team on the Valor!

Ship Quality

It's a big ship ~ if you get lost easily take a map around with you for the first day or so :)

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
We didn't splurge on our room and yet we were not dissappointed. The interior cabin was small but very nice and clean. It met our expections ~ even exceeded them a bit. It had everything we needed and the bed was a truly comfy place to collapse after days of fun in the sun.

Pros: The dinners were great and the Honduras port was a dream ~ loved the monkeys!

Cons: Long tenders and we weren't fans of Belize. The tour guide at the Ruins took FOREVER talking and left little time for us to walk around and take pictures ~ that shipped booked excursion needs work.
