Outstanding Ship

Sail Date: July 08, 2007

Reviewed: 9 years ago

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Balcony

Ship handled the large passenger load very well, both getting on and off.

Pros: Cruise Director

Cons: Price of liquor, rough toilet paper

Recommends Carnival Valor? Yes!

Entertainment
Evening entertainment was only adequate. Only two review-type shows, the rest were individual singing acts of marginal quality and comedians.
Ship Quality
The ship was excellent, and the crew was too. The cruise director, Chris, did an outstanding job without taking it "over the top into silliness".
Food and Dining
The food was very good. Cooked to order and didn't taste "mass produced". The wait staff could have been more friendly.
Cabin / Stateroom
Stateroom was adequate size and steward was efficient and helpful.
Service and Staff
Staff was helpful, efficient.
Coxen Hole, Roatan, Bay Islands, Honduras
Excursion to nature preserve was good but this is a stop that could be avoided. It is not ready for prime time.
George Town, Grand Cayman
Stingray swim is a must. Glad we didn't miss it.
Belize City, Belize
Mayan ruins were a must see but the town and shopping were poor.
Costa Maya (Mahahual), Mexico
This is a waste of time.
