Fantastic Trip

Sail Date: January 28, 2007

Reviewed: 10 years ago

Traveled As: Family (young children)

Room Type: Inside

well maintained and attractive ship. Very nice guest room and wonderful bath. Plenty of space for 3 in the cabin. Excellent service as expected and camp carnival was terrific. We did two dinners in 'Scarletts' which were exceptional with food as good as top NYC restaurants! Great ports, nice weather and smooth cruising. An excellent holiday.

Pros: children's camp, fine dining option, ports of call

Cons: exit process was a bit chaotic and too many lounges were 'saved' (despite signs against this behaviour) meaning most were empty but unavailable.

Recommends Carnival Valor? Yes!

Ship Quality
the newness of the ship shows but they were active in maintenance which was a positive sign.
Food and Dining
very good particularly the fine dining restaurant.
Cabin / Stateroom
plenty of room for 3 people.
Service and Staff
extremely friendly and helpful. Bartenders were slightly less friendly than prior cruises but overall a top crew.
Children's Programs
Excellent. This service made the trip particularly enjoyable for us.
Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas

Nassau, Bahamas

Don't Miss: straw market
Philipsburg, St. Maarten
a wonderful island
