I will probably do another cruise line next time just because it was so over run with Kids. We never got to enjoy a pool or relax in a hot tub. The ship was a little old. One good thing was the photographers. They did an awesome job and the pictures were beautiful.
We enjoy cruising! Two of our cruises have been for less than 7 days -- we prefer the longer cruise as it seems just as you get acclimated, it is time to get off! The Triumph is the smallest ship we have been on but because of school and family, we chose to get out of town while Mardi Gras was carrying on!
Starting on day 2 or 3, several places around the ship, including near the casino and the Rome Main Lounge started to smell like sewage. Not pleasant, and no explanation.
Next time I would definitely go with a newer and bigger ship.
After our problem we went to the front desk to get additional info for Carnivals solution. They told us what would be done and literally walked away from us. We asked that they call corporate for us, we were on the phone on hold or being passed around for more than 30 minutes, a number of us passengers spoke to corporate, but none of us got any results. DO NOT CRUISE CARNIVAL. They do not care about you.
Very good for families. It isn’t Royal Caribbean, but neither was the price. Only disappointment was the premium Internet service, which was not functional. I needed it for business, but could rarly use it.
Really enjoyed being papered and spoiled. I enjoyed the shows but they were pretty risque and mostly not appropriate for children. The first day was pretty crowded and not very organized and I wasn't sure if I would like it, but after the first day I loved it.
Overall, the cruise was fun and enjoyable. We were disappointed we were niot compensated with a fare settlement for the hassle we had embarking, but overall without including that issue, the cruise was good.
My cruise was great. I was with a family of 12 and we were a mix of seasoned cruisers and beginners. My major compliant was we purchases drink packages and we were aware that they end at 8 am on debarkation day, however; since the ship had technical difficulties and we were told we would not be arriving back until 10 pm that night the packages should have ended then. They did not, but ended at 8 am on our scheduled debarkation date and time. It was through no fault of the passengers that we were stuck on the ship, but we had to pay for all of our drinks for the next 10 to 12 hours.
