The Triumph is a great ship for cruising, especially for first time cruisers.

We had heard stories of long waits. Not here. There was quite a line, but it kept moving quickly.

Food and Dining

We ate in the London each evening-we had "anytime dining." The service was above average to excellent each night. Two of the five evening meals featured the wait staff performing, and they managed to pull off the events without causing a backup in service, which was a neat trick. The Triumph's kitchen supplies both the London and Paris dining rooms, along with the Lido buffet, so several of the entree's are the same each evening. The dining room menu adds several appetizers, main courses and desserts, however, and it's a welcome touch.

The breakfast here was wonderful!
Onboard Activities

The bars are placed well, and the layout of the Triumph is really well done. The one thing it needs is a deck RESERVED FOR ADULTS. Our one regret about the entire trip was being unable to enjoy the pools and hot tubs because they were FULL of children. Hopefully, the ship will get an area during it's upcoming drydock and refit.

Cabin / Stateroom

The cabin had plenty of room and laid out well. The bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom very adequate. I'm a big guy, and had no trouble with the shower.
Ship tip
DON'T OVERPACK!!!! One of the best things is a self serve laundry on each deck!
I've called New Orleans "the most European" of American of American cities. You can't do the French Quarter in an hour, so don't try. The Big Easy should be explored at your liesure to find the beauty and uniqueness we love. Try the Jazz Memorial Gardens on Boubon street and listen to Steamboat Willie. You can spend a wonderful day at the Aquarium of the Americas, or a whole day at the WWII museum. (While you are there, talk to one of the veterans of the war while there are still a few left.) Take your time. If you're looking for shiny and new, this is the wrong place.
