Review summary

I will never go out of New Orleans or on the Triumph again. The layout of the ship difficult to get around. Lines block walking areas and are poorly designed. If this was the first cruise we had done, I think it would have been the last. The quality of the experience was definitely not worth the money.

It was ok. Very long lines even though we arrived at the time we were assigned.

Everything was just OK. We have cruised on 6 other occasions with Carnival and this was by far the worst. The time waiting in lines was outrageous. The breakfast choices changed very little and there did not seem to enough seating.

The shows were good, but the comedy show was boring and there was not enough seating.

Our room steward was great. He took great care of us. Although the air was out in our room, he kept calling to get it fixed. The shower kept backing up, but again he tried to take care of it in a timely manner. Our waiter in the dining room was adequate, but was not nearly as friendly or attentive as we have come to expect with our experiences on Carnival.

Ship Quality

There was an unpleasant smell in the restrooms of the ship. Although the ships crew seemed to be constantly cleaning, the ship was run down and worn out.

Cabin / Stateroom

The restroom was very unpleasant smelling as the cruise went on. The shower kept backing up and flooding the floor. The light above the shower was completely missing. The placement of the room is great.

Don't do it. Not worth the money .

Loved our cruise! Didn’t see or have long lines anywhere we went, food wonderful, didn’t smell anything funky, shows great, and embarkation fast and efficient! It’s what you make it people!

Hope you have better cruises. Been on triumph twice and we just followed the signs. Didn't find it hard at all.

I agree with jdolphin128, I went with my 18 year old granddaughter and had a great time. I have been on lager ships and would not select the triumph again but being with her made it perfect. Sorry you didn't have a good experience.
