We had a great time. It is what you make it. It may not be a new ship but it was clean and lots to do.

I think one of the reasons is that you were a first time cruiser, according to your profile. You had nothing to compare it to, so it was perfectly lovely to you. An experienced cruiser with several cruises under their belt are often more discerning, and can be more critical of some things that you may not have even noticed. I sailed the Triumph back in 2007, with my family and grandchildren, and had a wonderful time. But fast forward several years (of wear and tear) and several bad issues (legendary “poop cruise”) and this ship has earned some bad reviews. I’m glad you had a wonderful time. Cruising is fabulous, and actually more economical than any all inclusive land vacation that I’ve priced. Before your next cruise, research thoroughly. Watch videos of ships on YouTube and read plenty of reviews. And what Tailwind11 said is correct: a cruise is what you make it. Go in determined to have a good time, and you will. 😊

That's the life of cruiser's, I agree with you the Triumph is a good ship, but as you know a cruise is what you make it. Some of the cruiser's would not be happy just because it's against their nature.🤔
