Overall, i thoroughly enjoyed this cruise. It was a wonderful way to celebrate our 35th Wedding Anniversary!
Embarkation

I was expecting a lengthy process given the number of people, but it went very smooth and faster than i expected.
Ship experiences

Thoroughly enjoyed all of the food and drinks. I really enjoyed the variety offered. I have a gluten free diet (preference) and still found tons of choices.

So many choices, it was hard to do all i wanted to do and still find time to just sit by the pool!

Most of ship personnel were fantastic. We only had one waiter whose service was sub-par.

Cabin / Stateroom

This was my first cruise and i was nervous about having an ocean view, but it was great! The room was very spacious and always cleaned well. We especially enjoyed the various towel creatures who appeared each day! Our cabin was mid-ship and was perfect as far as not feeling the ship movement too much. I was amazed at how sound-proof the room was. Our family surprised us with an anniversary package in which the room was decorated with streamers, a cake, a beach towel and a picture frame. It was so lovely and made our time in the room that much better.
Ship tip
Plan your carry on bag carefully. I used a back pack, which worked very well, but i saw many people struggling with their bags. Upon leaving the ship, i even had to assist another passenger with her bags while my husband took mine. She had several small bags instead of one larger one.
This was my first time to New Orleans and I loved it! We did a city tour (bus) and a haunted tour (walking). I found both entertaining and educational and would recommend both. Oh the food!! So many choices, so little time. Try something different at each meal.
This was my first time to Cozumel and i thought it was fantastic. We did the swim with the dolphins excursion, which was my favorite activity of the week. It was educational and a lot of fun. We got off the ship as soon as we could but i wish we could have had just a bit more time to enjoy the sites.
I enjoyed all the little shops right off the ship. We did not do an excursion at this stop but rather enjoyed the great weather on deck. Due to a mechanical problem, we stayed in port about an extra 4-5 hours but the captain made up for the delay during the sailing the next day and we arrived in port on time.
We chose the individual disembarkation where we carried off our own bags and were in the very first group to leave. Overall, i think it went pretty smoothly, although there was a back up at the elevators, which i think could have been avoided if they had assigned times for specific rooms or did just one floor at a time. For us level 1 and level 11 were called together and it seemed like the elevators took a long time to be available for level 1. Also, we booked the bus transport from the ship to the airport but could not choose a time. We were off the ship by about 8:15 a.m. but our plane didn't leave until about 3:45 p.m. MSY is a nice airport, but not enough to do for 6 hours while awaiting your flight. I would add the option to choosing your transport time, if i could change anything.
