Review summary

This is our 4th cruise, 3rd with Carnival. We did a lot of first on this cruise. We went out of Galveston instead of New Orleans or Miami. We finally got that balcony. And it was a Aft wrap around (6434). And thee only port we haven't been to was Grand Cayman which we had to by passed.

Embarkation: No problem there. I had 2 persons with me that were in a wheelchair. So we didn't have the long lines to be in.  Boarding did start late. Which wasn't a bad thing since within about and hour our cabin was ready. Which we loved. This is our first balcony cabin and we loved being able to relax outside with out having to have to search for a seat.  We did our normal ritual of eating and getting that first drink. Guys Burgers are great.

The Triumph is a nice ship. It took us longer to learn the layout than the Fantasy or the Norwegian Jewel. But we figured it out.  We didn't go to the shows except for the Love  & Marriage which was wild and fun.  We ate more in the main dinning room. Almost every night.  Love our waiter and waitress. (Naricso &  Chichi)They were great. And the lady who made sure my glass was always full Keitna. Would love to sail with them again.  Our cabin steward Lauro did a great job of keeping our cabin straight.

As for food. We tried all of the Lido deck for food. We loved Guys Burgers and Blue Iguana. The pizzas wasn't as good as the were on the Fantasy .  The deli was good. and loved the Carving as well. The Main dinning in the Parish was nice. Had a couple steaks which was good.  Overall. The food was good.

Now for the Ports. We had 3 ports. Montego Bay, George Town, Grand Cayman and Cozumel. We skipped Grand Cayman due to winds. and they already had 3 ships anchored already.

Montego Bay: If you have a ship bought excursion. Make sure that when you get off of the ship. get with the right people. They had us and several other people going all over the place trying to find were we were suppose to be. Luckily they waited for us. We did the Dunns' Waterfall  and the Dolphins Encounter.  Dunn's was cool. The water was cold and the climbing was tough. But fun. If you are physically able. It is a to do. Traveling from Montego Bay is a nice ride. But you get to see the countryside. Make sure that you wear your swimming wear on the way. The Dolphins was great. Our first time touching and playing with them. It was cool.  I was able to do some quick shopping for some shirts while we waited for the last of the group to meet up.

Cozumel: Always love Cozumel. This is our 3rd time here. We did the ATV Jungle ride and Beach. We loved the ATV. My wife was in a wheelchair some time because of her knees. But she was using her cane to walk. The guys on the tour took very good care of her. Whenever we stop for our break. They moved her ATV closer to her so that she would have that far to walk.  The beach was cool. The wind was up a little so there were a few things that we couldn't do but had fun anyway.

We love the Triumph. Sailed on it three times!

Surprisingly . It was cool the first 2 days. But warmed up nicely. Kinda windy.

And as for feedback. There were a few issues that we had to take care of. But nothing to go crazy about. I was to busy having fun. And making new friends.

We were on Triumph over Thanksgiving.....also an aft balcony on the 8th level. We had a great cruise. I read all of the negatives, about the ship looking worn, dirty, and mediocre food. Yes, it isn't a new ship, but old style TVs, older color schemes shouldn't affect a vacation! What makes Triumph special is its size.....slightly smaller makes it friendlier I believe. The staff was top notch.

Awesome Glad to hear some positive feed back from this ship. I'm going in September and have seen mostly negative feedback on here about the the ship. This makes me feel a lot better now about my trip. Thanks

What was the temperatures while cruising? We are going in 15 days, curious on how to pack.
