Review summary

Enjoyed the cruise.  The food in the dining room was good.  The buffet was not too impressive.  Basically, a buffet like you would imagine from one of those cheap steak restaurant buffets.  That part was a bit disappointing.

Our waiter at night was excellent and made the cruise very enjoyable.  We were surprised that there was no "lobster night" like we are accustomed to.

The stopping at Progreso was a waste of time.  Only way to do anything was an excursion and, frankly, none of those were that interesting to us.  I would probably avoid going on a cruise with that stop again.

Overall, this was your basic Carnival cruise.  Good cruise for the price.
