I heard mixed reviews on the Carnival Triumph and was pleased that the ship was clean, the staff very friendly and helpful but the food was disappointing. We had to miss Progresso port due to the weather, which was not within control of the ship. The "dive in movie" was a great concept and fun. We enjoyed the popcorn and the outdoor fun.
Overall the ship was better than expected, the staff friendly and helpful. While the nightly shows had great costumes and detailed dance routines it missed being something the crowd could sing or join in on. It was a more of a production but not necessarily entertaining. The cruise director, Kirk, was upbeat and fun.
The dining staff were very helpful and attentive, but the food was below average. It was Golden Corral quality and taste.
When I booked this cruise I thought it seemed a reasonable budget vacation. However, by the time you add port taxes and fees I think you could do an all inclusive for about the same.

The "dive in movie" was fun just come early to get a chair and bring a towel or robe since it does get chilly on the deck.
