11 Night Southern Caribbean Carnival Journeys (Galveston To San Juan)
Sail Date: October 24, 2015
Cabin Type: Inside
Cabin Number: 7420
Traveled As: Singles/Friends
Reviewed: 1 year ago

As always the on board Carnival employees were terrific and hard working.  I chose this cruise for the itinerary, which was fantastic.  The ship, although the Carnival 2.0 venues were in place, seemed old and worn.  The lido deck was in rough condition with some of the railings missing and planking buckling.

Food and Dining

Food in Lido was bland and repetitious. Milk and yogurt were not chilled or refrigerated in buffet.

Ship Quality

Seemed old and worn even though Carnival 2.0 venues in place.

Cabin / Stateroom

Air conditioning was malfunctioning for the first 2 days. Old obsolete TV. No refrigerator. Leaky plumbing in bathroom.

Ship Tip

The transfers from Houston to Galveston were disorganized and slow. There were not enough buses or no coordination.
