Carnival Triumph 5-Days
I'll start by letting you know that my girlfriend and myself are in our early 40's and probably somewhat introverts. This was mine , as well as her, first cruise, so neither of us really knew what to expect, of course, other than everyone going on and on about how there is so much to do, and anything you want to eat, at anytime, day and night. Neither of these claims are really true. There are a lot of things to do, but the majority of these things are aimed toward either older (such as trivia, bingo, etc.) or younger (basketball, putt putt golf, etc.) crowds. So, we found ourselves spending most of our time either lounging on the deck, soaking up some sun, or enjoying the various music and dance at the many nightclubs. As far as food goes, there are many places to eat, and a variety of foods to enjoy, but only certain restaurants are open at certain times, and only one of them is open 24hrs (they serve only pizza and salad). Nevertheless, we did have a really good time simply escaping from our lives for a moment. We had an upgraded balcony room, which gave us a beautiful view of the sunrise going and sunset coming home. We enjoyed excursions at each of the two ports we stopped at. The staff aboard the ship were very polite and helpful. All in all, we had a great time simply enjoying the experience.
