Great trip for first time cruisers!

We booked about a month in advance. I was a little hesitant, thinking I might get seasick. However, the booking process was seamless, both for the cruise and the shore excursion.

We had heard horror stories about the wait for embarkation, but it went smooth for us. We got to the port at around 12.15pm, and were on the ship by 1.30pm. The line was long, but moved fast.

Once on the ship, the food was great and the staff was courteous. Once the ship left the port, the music and dancing started by the pool. There were plenty of deck chairs and ample sunshine!! The buffet, burgers, pizza, tacos, ice cream, omelettes, and of course the formal dining room meant we were eating like royalty for 5 days!! :-)

The shore excursion in Cozumel was great. The kids loved the snorkeling, but LOTS of FISH and CORAL!!

The only complaint was about the connecting door to the next room. We could clearly hear the people next door through the door, and had to call guest services a couple of nights to get them quieted down. If you like your room to be quiet, make sure you get one that does not have a connecting door or know the people in the next room!

Other than that small issue, it was non-stop vacation relaxation!!!! No phone and internet access (the plans were very expensive) made it truly a relaxing experience!

The debarkation went smooth as well. We left our bags outside the night before, had a leisurely breakfast until our zone was called and then breezed through immigration in about 30 minutes.

Loved the experience! We will definitely cruise again!!

Food choices are amazing. My 12 year old loved the Carnival Melting Chocolate cake dessert in the formal dining room. She had it every single evening after dinner!!
