Review summary
We were told that the Triumph was an old ship, but it was in very good shape and didn't appear that old to me. Our main problem was the noise from the passageway outside our cabin. Sound seemed to travel through the door very well. The older type TV set was a bit of a disappointment too, with some channels coming in very dark and hard to make out. The layout of our cabin was outstanding! The best we've ever seen. Very nice bathroom setup. It was a bit difficult to find our way around the ship at first, but after a day or two we settled in. The food at the buffet was good, but why did they close it at 3:30 PM? People were just arriving from tours and just as they hit the buffet, it closed. We are buffet folks and enjoy the buffet.
We have cruised on several different lines and this was my first on Carnival. It was not a bad cruise. In fact, we have never had a bad cruise. We really enjoy the newer Royal Caribbean ships with the center promenade the pretty much runs the length of the ship.
This is a perfect cruise for younger folks. It is reasonably priced, and there's lots for them to do. We enjoyed watching them have a good time.
The tour to the Uxmal Mayan ruins was outstanding. We had a great guide and really enjoyed it. The beach "photographic" tour on Cozumel was only so-so.

Ship tip
The Breakfast Grill is actually the Buffet. Took us a while to figure that out.
