The old adage\, you get what you pay for applies here\, and in a positive sense. Prices for a short Caribbean Cruise on the Carnival Triumph are very reasonable\, but come with several caveats. Accept these and you won't be disappointed\, get worked up over them and you will ruin your cruise and you'll be the only one to blame.

The good:
-Large Stateroom with lots of storage
-Friendly Staff
-High Energy activities and lots of buzz

The bad:
-Constant sales pushes and promotions
-Food is poor overall with the added insult that they guard protein like its gold.

The Ugly
-Horrendous lines to embark
-Low price means guests come in all varieties\, you will contend with the lowest common denominator

Food and Dining

Where's the beef? Keeping in mind the low price you'll have to hunt for quality ingredients. At the buffet or room service... forget it.

Service and Staff

3 out of 5
Cleaning staff are super friendly and most ship staff are welcoming. Exceptions are guest services which tend to the snarky and bartenders which seem too overworked to bother with service.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
Good size ship that is clean\, if a little garish.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
Spacious room with lots of storage options. Wish the balcony was completely enclosed but is a must if you want to relax and enjoy the ocean.

Pros: Balcony room is surprisingly spacious and comfortable

Cons: The constant sales push and overall quality of other guests

Recommends Carnival Triumph? Yes!
