Review summary

We wanted to take our Dad on a cruise and we are glad we chose this one. It was just long enough for him. There were 7 of us on this cruise. The ocean suite is a very good choice of room. We enjoyed the extra space for the family to gather in between events. The balcony was a great option also. It was relaxing to just sit there in the morning and evening and enjoy the sounds of the ocean and cool breeze. If you go in Feb, bring a hoodie or windbreaker because the wind kicks up. We went to the shows and they were very entertaining. Bingo was fun and they had several fun contestant type shows that were fun, also. The Lido was a bit loud for us, but it looked like everyone was enjoying the music and dancing there. We preferred to sit and relax to some of the solo acts in the atrium. The dining was great every night. The specialty food places were very good too, but you have to plan to catch them open, as most are only open from 1200-230. in between and after hours the only thing available is room service and pizza and we did not think it was that good. The casino was a blast, just don't spend too much time in there, Lol. It is very smokey in there and on that floor, also. The spa was great and the staff there were very pleasant  and accommodating. Our kids went into Cozumel and had a great time, but we decided to stay on the ship with our Dad and we had just as good a time doing that. The ship was quite and we had our run of the spa and other areas. Overall, it was a great family experience and memory for all of us.

There are two vents in the ceiling that let the air conditioning in. There are tabs that slide open or closed on the side of them.

Ship tip

Check out the whole ship and you will find some quite spots to sit and enjoy!

Ports of call

Galveston, Texas

There is a lot to enjoy in Galveston. We recommend staying at the Holiday in Resort on the beach. You can leave your car there in a secure parking lot for free. They have a shuttle that will take you to the cruise terminal and pick you up when you return.

Cozumel, Mexico

The Mayan Ruins is a must and then what ever strikes your fancy. We have been several times and like to just explore on our own.
