Wonderful first experience

Sail Date: July 01, 2012

Reviewed: 4 years ago

Traveled As: Family (older children)

Room Type: Suite

We could not have asked for anything more out of the staff or the ship. Meals were excellent (especially considering how many people had to be fed), entertainment was great (on a moving ship, no less), and staff was friendly and courteous.

Pros: Incredibly friendly staff\, great food

Recommends Carnival Triumph? Yes!

Ship Quality
The smell of cigarette smoke could remain in the halls for quite some time. Beyond that though\, public areas and bathrooms were kept clean\, and wait staff promptly removed plates and cleaned tables in the buffet areas.
Food and Dining
Buffet and restaurant were excellent! We got to try so many things we had never gotten to try before\, and found something to suit every taste.
Cabin / Stateroom
Customer service agent helped us book an amazing 10th floor room which we thought we would not be able to afford. View was amazing and we had plenty of room for ourselves and luggage. Room was also fairly soundproof\, a definite plus when other passengers had had too much to drink!
Service and Staff
Staff genuinely cared about how our day was going and got to know us very well. By the end of the cruise we were receiving personalized service and could not have asked for anything more.
