First time cruisers were not very impressed. The boat seemed over crowded, the lines were very frustrating. The staff for the most part was great.

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Other than the 2 main restaurants\, the variety wasn't great. Long lines for the buffet were frustrating and crowded!

Entertainment

3 out of 5
Magic show was a bit cheesy. I did like the couples games.

Children's Programs

My kids did not enjoy Camp Carnival. 6 year old daughter refused to go as she does not like video games and that's all you could see from entrance. Staff was okay\, not very friendly when kids checked in\, which is when you need the most welcoming people!

Service and Staff

3 out of 5
Room steward\, wait staff\, photographers were excellent. Bartenders seemed overworked and frustrated.

Ship Quality

1 out of 5
Decor was outdated and tacky. It was difficult getting from one side of the ship to the other. The bathrooms were clean and I liked the napkins to open the door after washing hands.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
The room would have been better if we didn't have 4 people. It was difficult to move in room with fold out bed. Beds were hard\, but pillows were nice. Was surprised by the size of the window.

Pros: Getting off the boat at port; room steward; waitstaff; photographers

Cons: Camp Carnival

Recommends Carnival Triumph? No.
