5 Night Western Caribbean (Galveston Roundtrip)
Sail Date: May 26, 2012
Ship: Carnival Triumph
Cabin Type: Balcony
Traveled As: Couple
Reviewed: 5 years ago
This was our first cruise and it was disappointing. The shows were 2nd rate, everything to drink except water, tea and milk cost extra and was expensive, we were constantly bombarded with pitches to spend on and off the ship which took most of the joy out of the trip.

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Average at best. Staff did a good job serving most of the time.

Entertainment

1 out of 5
2nd or 3rd rate shows.

Service and Staff

3 out of 5
Staff was generally friendly and accomodating, but were there to sell which at times became annoying.

Ship Quality

1 out of 5
Older ship, dated interior, public areas crowded and staff struggled to keep them clean. The pools were tiny and overcrowded.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
Well kept by the staff.

Pros: Room staff were professional and pleasant

Cons: Food was borderline OK, events were 2nd rate, too many added costs

Recommends Carnival Triumph? No.
