5 Night Western Caribbean (Galveston Roundtrip)
Sail Date: May 12, 2012
Ship: Carnival Triumph
Cabin Type: Balcony
Traveled As: Couple
Reviewed: 5 years ago
The ship was kept surprizingly clean. State room was well maintained. Crew was friendly and very attentive. Over crowded common areas by the pools and hot tubs. Juanito was amazing waiter at dinner. He should be commended! Tex and Stephanie were VERY VERY good at thier jobs. Kudos for hiring them! Elevators were slow. You should have a list posted in duty free store that gives guests specific details on how much of each item can be taken off ship as duty free. There were some conflicting information that we were given each time we asked.

Food and Dining

Loved the fish. Sushi bar was great, but I would recommend highly that you have them keep the sushi in the COLD refrigerated section until it is eaten. It was warm when I ate my sushi every time.

Nice. Enjoyed the balcony. I wouldn't sail again without one!

Pros: Staff was GREAT! Juanito from the philipenes was fantastic! made our dinners a very fun experience that we looked forward to every night!

Cons: Too crowded. Would have liked to have seen more free juice options. Lines were ridiculously long at breakfast. Would have liked to see more comedy shows earlier in the day. Couldn't get through on the phone 99% of the time. Water pressure was very BAD!

Recommends Carnival Triumph? Yes!
