Great trip!!

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Balcony

We had a fabulous time on the cruise. Great ship but the rooms are in dire need of upgrades. Cracks in the bathroom sinks and there was an issue with slow water drainage. However, the staff was outstanding in all aspects. Very friendly, very accomodating, etc.

Pros: Service was great and there are plenty of things to do. Tex was the Cruise Director and he has a fabulous sense of humor. Leaving the ship was a breeze. We had a flight out of Houston and it literally took less than an hour to disembark.

Cons: The rooms on Triumph are very worn. Even though the staff kept them extremely clean, the ship is in need of a renovation.

Recommends Carnival Triumph? Yes!

Food and Dining
This is the first cruise I've taken where the food selection on the Lido was not great. We also really strugged with the temperature of the foodl. Most of the hot food was cool, at best. I was also a bit disappointed in the quality of the food in the dining rooms. This is not typical for the Carnival. The beef was tough, the seafood was overdone, and the soups were cold.
Cabin / Stateroom
I gave an average rating because the staff was outstanding but the condition of the room was worn.
