_LOTS_ better than winter!

Room Type: Inside

Every performer except the Promenade deck pianist was far too loud. The sound on the Lido deck was painfully loud. Loud does not equal fun, and louder is not always better.

Our cabin stewardess, Marta, was remarkably pleasant, good and efficient, and we commend her for all her good services. The same holds true for Bibi, our waitress in the Paris dining room. Almost all the rest of the crew and hotel staff were pleasant and efficient. One of the security staff, however, was unnecessarily unpleasant, telling us repeatedly to keep moving when we couldn't do so without walking over the people in front of us. "Clothed in a little vain authority ..."

Recommends Carnival Triumph? Yes!

None of the activities available while we were aboard was of the least interest to either of us. The activities that interested us were scheduled against our shore excursions in Progreso and Cozumel.
Ship Quality
We will do it again, but some aspects of the crew interactions with guests require considerable improvement. It is difficult to keep the layout clear in my mind so as to get from A to B quickly. Not all the elevators worked, waits frequently were too long because cars didn't stop at our deck.
Food and Dining
Overall quite good. Some of the buffets closed when they were scheduled to be open. Some baked goods, especially cakes and bagels, we're dry and tasteless. The Paris dining room gets very high marks for its food and service.
Cabin / Stateroom
Larger than I expected, spotless, plumbing worked and was leak-free. Nice big clisets and plenty of hangers. Good bed, comfortable cabin temperature. More 110V electrical outlets would have been good.
Service and Staff
Almost everyone was just plain nice and helpful, except for Leon and the security type mentioned above, and except for the "guest services" staff, who just wanted people to go away and whose accents were very thick.
