Relaxing Cruise...should have verified

Sail Date: March 28, 2011

Reviewed: 6 years ago

Traveled As: Family (older children)

Room Type: Balcony

This was a good choice for spring break with alot of same aged children traveling

Pros: Service by the staff was outstanding

Cons: Meridia/Proressive, Mexico was boring

Recommends Carnival Triumph? Yes!

Comedy shows were OK...Having family comedy is probably necessary but parents didn't control their kids at these shows
Children's Programs
Again, mislead by rep. Was told that if our 13 y/old went to CO2 with the older kids, he'd be allowed. Not the case and made us look bad with our youngest since we were told it would be OK
Ship Quality
Older ship but well kept. Basketball area was down most of the week
Food and Dining
Enjoyed every aspect of the dining options
Cabin / Stateroom
Was promised that the divider on our rooms could be removed to creat one balcony by rep...ship folks told us NO
Service and Staff
The entire ship staff was fun and willing to do whatever it took to make us happy
Progreso (Merida), Mexico
Boring stop with long lines to get downtown
Don't Miss: Duty free shopping was nice by the ship
Cozumel, Mexico
Good excursions on paper but the swim with dolphins was very unorganized
Don't Miss: Three Amigos
