Great cruise; room for improvement.

Sail Date: November 20, 2010

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Balcony

The ship itself was on par with the Carnival Conquest. The shows featuring the Triumph singers and dancers were absolutely great. The first two comedians they featured during the cruise, Lance Montalto and Seth Buchwald, were hilarious for each of their shows. The last two comedians (I can't remember their names) weren't worth sitting through; we actually left one of their late night shows because it was more entertaining to sleep.

Pros: The shows were fantastic. The cruise director was funny.

Cons: The food was average at best. There was a fishy smell in every stairway.

Recommends Carnival Triumph? Yes!

Ship Quality
The fishy smell in the stairways was less than appetizing. Otherwise, the cleanliness and layout were what was to be expected.
Food and Dining
The food was only average. It wasn't particularly great in and of itself, and it was on par with other ships I've cruised.
Cabin / Stateroom
Our stateroom was excellent.
Entertainment
The entertainment was fantastic. The shows featuring the singers and dancers were top notch. The first two comedians they had on board were hilarious. The comedians for the last two nights weren't worth sitting through; we got the impression they were just last minute fillers, because they weren't nearly as funny as the first two they had on ship.
Belize City, Belize
We did the kayaking and enjoyed it. We saw lots of wildlife.
Cozumel, Mexico
We did the Playa Mia Beach Break DELUXE (emphasis on DELUXE because it includes an open bar). We layed out on the peach and got utterly hammered from the open bar. We had a blast.
Coxen Hole, Roatan, Bay Islands, Honduras
The pirates, monkeys, and parrots (can't remember exact name) excursion at Gumbalimba park was pretty awesome. You were allowed to interact with monkeys and parrots, but no pirates unfortunately.
